Easy Last-Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

Little girl in Halloween costumes goes to trick or treating

Halloween is this week, but don't worry if you don't have a costume picked out yet! Pick one of these easy, last-minute costumes!

Beanie Baby

This easy costume is perfect for babies and pets because it doesn't require many supplies or hard-to-find outfits. If you're be dressing your baby up in this costume, grab a hooded bear onesie (like this!) and make the classic beanie baby tag out of cardboard and paint, then pin or tack it to the outside of the onesie. Transforming your pet into a beanie baby is even simpler - just attach the tag to their collar! Bonus points if you make it a family costume by donning some 90s gear to represent the height of beanie baby popularity!

Pantone Colors

When you need a costume that's ultra-easy and almost free, be a Pantone color! Grab white felt, cut it into a rectangle (about 10 - 12 inches long), and stencil PANTONEĀ® in black ink or paint. Then, attach your Pantone label to a monochrome outfit (black and white count!) and call it a day! This year, the Pantone Colors of the Year are Illuminate - a vibrant, cheery yellow, and Ultimate Gray, if you're looking to be a bit more authentic!

Violet Beauregarde

Chew on this comfy, cozy, and easy Halloween costume! A blonde bobbed wig, a violet tracksuit, a bit of purple eyeshadow, and your favorite chewing gum are all you need to transform into Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

Arthur

A yellow sweater, a white button-up shirt, glasses, and jeans are all that you need to spend Halloween dressed as Arthur the Aardvark! You can get little tan ears on a headband, or if your hair is long enough, you could fashion it into space buns to mimic Arthur's ears. To add a funny twist, carry a pencil clutched in your fist throughout the day to be the Arthur meme!
