Miller Toyota Sponsors Baldwin Elementary PTO

Education is the foundation of a happy and successful life. The Baldwin PTO strives to ensure that all students at Baldwin Elementary School get the education they need. But in order to reach their goals, they need financial help.

As a Title 1 school, 60 percent of the students are eligible to receive discounted or free meals, so money is an issue for the district. Fortunately, the Baldwin PTO knows how to throw popular fundraisers that help the school get much-needed funds. The 2017 Movie on the Manassas Museum Lawn event is the latest of these fundraisers. The PTO hopes to raise thousands of dollars to help it meet its financial goals through this event, and Miller Toyota has stepped into help. Our dealership is a sponsor for the movie night on May 12th, and we are proud to have helped the PTO get that much closer to its fundraising goal.

About Movie Night

Baldwin Elementary PTO has partnered with the Manassas Museum to offer this free movie night. The PTO has invited one intermediate school and five elementary schools to attend the movie on the lawn. Though there is an expectancy of a great turnout, this isn’t the first time that this event has been held. In the past, anywhere from 400 to 500 people have attended the movie nights on the lawn!

All of the proceeds from this night will go to Baldwin Elementary School. The PTO has already set goals for the funds. The group hopes to raise $6,000 at the event that it can put with the $6,000 it has already raised. The $12,000 will help fund interactive field trips that meet learning objectives. These funds will also help the PTO start a Family Engagement Program. By engaging families and enriching students, the Baldwin PTO will help the students get a better education, which will put them on the right track to becoming successful adults.
