Tee Up For Diabetes Research Golf Tournament
Brush up on your golf game, because the Heritage Hunt Country Club is preparing to host the Tee Up for Diabetes Golf Tournament! You can sign up solo or with friends to play a great course for a great cause this month.
When and Where
The tournament will be held at the Heritage Hunt Golf & Country Club on Friday, October 18. It will begin at 10 a.m. Entry is $150 per person, and you can register at the club’s pro shop. You can also sign up as a foursome for $500. The Heritage Hunt Golf & Country Club is located at 6901 Arthur Hills Drive, Gainesville, Virginia 20155.
The Tournament
On the cool Friday morning, you can join other golfers of varying handicaps and experience to tee off at one of Virginia’s premier semi-private clubs. In addition to the main tournament, you can also participate in a putting contest for a shot at a cash prize. Following the tournament, there will be a reception and silent auction.
Heritage Hunt Country Club
The course presents long, sprawling fairways, immaculately maintained greens, and dynamic water features and doglegs to challenge all skill levels. The first tee starts the tournament with a long drive and a bunker just at the foot of the green. When you arrive at the 18th hole, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the course’s rolling hills, glittering lake, and high-soaring fountain.
The Prizes
Participants will have the chance to compete for several prizes, including a $5,000 toward a cruise and $5,000 for diabetes research courtesy of Cruise Planners. If you win the putting contest, you’ll score $5,000 of your own, and $5,000 toward diabetes research thanks to Heritage Village. You can also compete for a 2020 Toyota RAV4 from our dealership!
The Cause
Proceeds raised by the event will support ongoing research and advocacy for those living with type 1 diabetes. Formerly known as the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF organizes these tournaments across the U.S. to raise awareness and fund vital research to improve countless lives and advance scientific knowledge toward a cure.
