Attend The Touch A Truck Event

We’re all aware that kids have impressionable minds. From learning the ABC’s to teaching them about the different months of the year, it’s important for children to learn certain aspects of life early on. Just as with your favorite family pet, you have to teach children to stay out of the road due to the dangers it may cause. However, that doesn’t mean your kid should be afraid of vehicles. If you’re interested in teaching your child more about automobiles or if your kid has an interest in trucks, you won’t want to miss the Touch A Truck event.

About the Event

The 5^th annual Touch A Truck event is sponsored by the Discovery Junction Children’s Museum. It will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30. Tickets are $5 per person and all proceeds go to the museum and its goal of opening a children’s museum in Prince Williams County. The event will be held at the Prince William County Fairgrounds located at 10624 Dumfries Road, Manassas, VA 20112.

What to Do

At the Touch A Truck event, kids of all ages can climb, explore, and pretend to drive their favorite trucks. With over 60 vehicles brought in from construction workers, first responders, and more, your child is guaranteed to be able to explore their favorite automobile. While you’re here, visitors can enjoy hands-on activities by the Discovery Junction Children’s Museum in the Kids Area. Your kids will also enjoy taking a ride on the Barrel Train.

In addition to this, guests will be able to enjoy a Community Showcase where vendors and businesses from the area will have booths, giveaways, and fun activities. Food will be available for purchase from a variety of local food vendors, so be sure to stay for lunch.
