Food, Wine, Arts Festival Vienna

Food and drinks go together like peanut butter and jelly. Add art into the mix, and you’re in for a day of fun. That’s why you should attend the 2nd Annual Food, Wine, and Arts Festival on Saturday, September 16. The festival benefits the Shelter House, so you can eat, drink, and enjoy art for a good cause. Come to Halstead Square at noon and expect to stay the full four hours if you attend the event.

About the Festival

Local restaurants and vendors will be on hand with culinary offerings, and Pinot’s Palette will be there for painting and sipping fun. You might uncover some serious art skills as you sip and stroke your way to artistic genius. Even if that doesn’t happen, it’ll still be fun.

The Latela Art Gallery will also be there. The gallery will have a pop-up tent filled with art, so you can look around and maybe even buy something. Who knows, you might even be able to show off the painting you make at Pinot’s Palette.

What’s Happening on the Stage

There will also be a stage at the festival. Eat.Yoga.Drink is taking the stage at noon to lead attendees through yoga poses. Bring your mat and plop it down in front of the stage. Then, you can enjoy the benefits that come with yoga, such as increased flexibility and lower blood pressure.

Then, Nelly’s Echo will take the stage at 1 p.m. You might recognize the singer/songwriter from season three of “The Voice.” Nelly’s Echo offers a nice mix of pop and soul music that is sure to get your feet to tapping.

About Shelter House

The festival will benefit Shelter House. This nonprofit organization helps break the cycle of homelessness for domestic violence survivors. The group offers intervention and temporary housing, along with services to promote self-sufficiency. Your money can help the organization reach even more people. This is an excellent way to give back to your local community.

You’ve added the Food, Wine, and Arts Festival to your calendar, but don’t put that calendar away quite yet. Add a trip to Miller Toyota in Manassas, Virginia, to your calendar, as well.
