The Tacoma's cabin has a practical design. Hard plastics and simple materials are used liberally in even the highest trim levels. Moreover, this vehicle has a power-adjustable driver's seat.
The Tacoma comes with either a five- or a six-foot bed. Both offer more than enough room. There are also storage compartments for small items inside the cabin. For example, there's a useful bin on the center console. In addition, you can fit up to nine carry-on bags in the rear seat.
The Tacoma with the Access Cab has a 6-foot bed, while the SR trim with the Double Cab has a 5-foot bed. The rest of the Tacoma lineup is available with either bed length or a Double Cab. TRD Pro and Limited trims are available only with the Double Cab.
The Access Cab has only four doors, but the rear doors are just half doors. The Double Cab has four conventional doors, similar to a Crew Cab.
The steel beds have composite liners, storage spaces, and a deck rail system with four moveable tie-down cleats. The tailgate is lockable and detachable. The top four trims also have a 120-volt outlet.
Toyota removed the front air dam from the SR5's Trail Edition for more ground clearance and added alloy wheels.
You'll need to upgrade to the TRD Pro if you want a model with the Toyota name written over the grille in capital letters rather than the corporate logo.

The Tacoma's base engine produces 150 horsepower. If you want more towing power and better performance, you should go with the optional V-6 engine with 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. With the V-6 engine, you can also choose between an automatic and a six-speed manual transmission.
The TRD Sport and Limited trims are perfect for city driving, while the TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro are ideal for off-road adventures. The Tacoma can easily navigate rugged backroads and trails. You can also configure this truck for different types of terrain.
The Limited trim offers a comfortable ride that is quieter and smoother than the off-road models. The Tacoma's thick tires, reliable shock absorbers, and elevated suspension make it one of the best trucks for off-roading.
