The 2023 RAV4 has more than enough space for passengers and cargo. It offers 37.8 inches of rear legroom. When the rear seatbacks are folded down, the cargo capacity increases from 37.5 to 69.8 cubic feet. This is large enough for most purposes. The RAV4 also has high-quality tires that offer excellent ride quality.
The 2023 RAV4 gets an upgraded infotainment system with a larger touchscreen. It also has voice-activated navigation and supports wireless smartphone integration.
Another new addition is the customizable 12.3-inch display that gives the interior a more high-tech feel. It comes standard on the XLE Premium trim, but TRD Off-Road models can also have it.
Toyota only made some minor changes to the RAV4's exterior. The SUV gets an updated front grille, headlights, and taillights. It's understandable since the Japanese carmaker doesn't need to make dramatic changes to keep the RAV4 on top of its class.

The internal-combustion-only version of the 2023 RAV4 retains its 2.5-liter, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. It produces 203 horsepower, which makes it one of the more powerful members of the compact SUV class. It also has an output of 184 pound-feet of torque.
An automatic transmission sends power to the wheels. Most models come with a standard front-wheel drive (FWD), while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. Adventure and TRD Off-Road models come standard with AWD.
The Adventure and TRD Off-Road models can tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds. The rest can tow up to 1,500 pounds. Using 87-octane regular gasoline is adequate for the RAV4.
