The minivan seats seven passengers with ease and all three rows have enough head and legroom to accommodate adult passengers as well as children. When it comes to cargo space the Sienna has a lot to offer with 33.5 cubic feet of space behind the rear seat alone. With the rear seats folded flat the space extends to 75.2 cubic feet of space and the Sienna has a total cargo capacity of 101 cubic feet of space.
Although Pacifica's exterior maintains the old minivan aesthetic the interior design is equally modern. It does have a few more noticeably hard plastics than you will find in the Sienna but they are only prevalent in the base trim. The Pacifica can also seat up to seven occupants comfortably.
The Pacifica has 32.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, and 87.5 cubic feet of space is available with the rear seats folded.
Most people think SUVs are more visually appealing than the minivan, which is probably why the 2022 Toyota Sienna deviates from the typical minivan design. With Its aggressive front grille, flat roof, and muscular body design, the Toyota Sienna looks more like an SUV with sliding doors than a minivan. The 2022 Pacifica however, sticks with the smooth lines and elegantly handsome design that minivans are known for.
Families will be thrilled by the amount of technology packed into the 2022 Toyota Sienna. The minivan comes standard with an easy-to-use 9-inch touch screen infotainment system. Support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa are all included in the base trim, plus seven USB ports, satellite radio, and a Wi-fi hotspot. Available is wireless device charging, 12-speaker audio system navigation, and a rear-seat entertainment system.
The Pacifica comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and offers many of the same features as the Sienna. Notable exclusions include a Wi-fi hotspot and the Pacifica only has one USB port in the base trim.
Both models have a hybrid powertrain. The Sienna's powertrain is a 245-horsepower combination of two electric motors and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a smooth-shifting continuously variable transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available.
The Pacifica Hybrid has a 260-horsepower powertrain that consists of a V6 engine and two electric motors paired with a continuously variable engine. Front-wheel drive is standard and unfortunately, all-wheel drive is not available on the Pacifica Hybrid.
